Multinational food producer - Bakkavor Foods - recently awarded a long term contract to MCL Energy for the site Utilities services at their Bedfordshire
production facility.
The service provided by MCL encompasses all site steam & process plant, LPHW systems, and the Cooling systems. As part of the package MCL provided finance for
upgrade and changeover of PHE hot water generation systems to high efficiency direct fired DHW systems which provided more effective control and reduced the energy
used for this process by some 10%.
All service (routine and non-routine), repairs, specialist WT services and callout will be provided at site on the plant and equipment on site and is based on a fixed
annual cost that allows for accurate budgets and comprehensive maintenance for the client.
MCL’s Mark Bagshaw comments "The site will add to the existing portfolio of utilities services contracts operated by MCL Energy Ltd and will form part of the
Companies South Eastern Operation comprising of healthcare, food and chemical production facilities".
