MCL Energy was awarded a term contract on the basis of quality, service, innovation, and value, back up with experience of the Healthcare Sector. The contract allows the Trust to maintain a flexible approach; daily operation by the Trust, with all maintenance provided by MCL Energy.

This package includes the initial replacement of the coal-fired boilers with gas-fired boliers and installation of a steam and gas metering scheme, maintenance of the new plant and real-time performance monitoring.
Their project assets were funded by MCL over a 12-year contract term,
leaving the Trust to invest in patient care. The installation of energy efficient equipment has resulted in energy and emissions savings in the order of 10%.
