Contract Energy Management solutions provider, MCL Energy was recently awarded a major contract with the University of Birmingham.

The contract is to provide secure steam supplies for the University's Medical Centre building. As a special contract energy management provider. MCL has provided the necessary solution for the operation and management of this new university facility. MCL will operate and maintain the three five-tonne steam boilers and will provide a 24/7 response.

MCL Energy has taken a slice of the action at top bread manufacturer Allied Bakeries, having secured the operation and maintenance service contract for the Stevenage site.
MCL Energy is delighted to be working with Allied Bakeries, which produces Kingsmill bread, one of the UK's top 10 grocery brands. The majority of the manufacturing at the Stevenage bakery includes products such as Kingsmill sub-brands Great Everyday White, 50/50, Tasty Wholemeal and Crusts Away!

The contract encompasses operation and maintenance of the steam boilers including 24/7 response, daily operations, water treatment and plant replacement.

MCL Energy continues its development plan by appointing a senior manager to the executive team. Michael Cunningham recently joined the Company to provide a further dimension to the leading Contract Energy Management service provider.

Michael, from COFELY, will manage service delivery nationwide, focusing on developing people, providing energy and reducing emissions.

He will be responsible for transforming the way energy services are delivered to customers using Continuous Improvement.

MCL Energy has been awarded a long term mechanical & electrical (M&E) service contract with Stamford Endowed Schools (SES).
SES comprises Stamford School, Stamford High School and Stamford Junior School, who provide education for boys and girls from ages two to eighteen, equipping them with solid academic foundations, confidence to achieve and a broad range of experiences beyond the classroom.

MCL services include heating, ventilating, and air conditioning maintenance on a 24/7 basis and installation projects. Commercial Manager, Jason Perry said “Stamford Endowed Schools will benefit from the highest service standards for asset maintenance and repair, to support the best learning and teaching environment for students and staff across their three sites.”

MCL Energy, one of the UK's leading energy and technical services providers, is to install and supply a steam boiler for Renolit Cramlington Ltd based at the UK manufacturing site.

Renolit Cramlington Ltd manufacturer decorative surfacing materials. The Company supply decorative laminates to the furniture components and exterior windows markets.

MCL installed two steam boilers with integral economizers, chimney stack and associated works and site gas infrastructure. The contract includes boiler operation, maintenance, warranty and 24-hour emergency call out.
Renolit will benefit from much improved steam reliability, increased steam efficiency and cost reduction.
