MCL Energy has been awarded a major boiler replacement project to upgrade one of their existing client boiler houses. The project incorporates all M&E works to relocate the existing boiler, re-route the existing steam and associated pipework and boiler replacement including all the necessary flue transitions, gas and condensate pipe work modifications. A hire boiler will be supplied for duration to ensure continuous, uninterrupted steam supplies are maintained at the corrugator production facility in Northamptonshire.

The project will be managed by MCL’s in-house steam installation team with all of the works being completed within an agreed timeframe. This is the 10th steam boiler installation project undertaken over this past decade. The project was subject to competitive tender to ensure all key areas of the bid were addressed by the client and is valued at several hundred thousand pounds.

Jason Perry, Managing Director said “This latest steam boiler installation project order is great news for the Company and I have no doubt our Project Team will deliver to the client, as they have on numerous occasions over the recent past including the Huntsman and Renolit. The client benefits will include reduced energy costs, guarantee of higher quality steam and standby capability to ensure minimal downtime for production”.
