Willerby Holiday Homes takes a second ‘bite of the cherry!’

Ellie Lee

The prestigious Hull based mobile holiday home manufacturer has awarded MCL Energy a significant order to replace the ageing, inefficient office and factory heating systems following successful completion of Phase 1.

The existing systems were approaching the end of their economic life with significant running costs incurred, both in terms of maintenance and fuel consumption.

The new scheme involves the supply and installation of around 20 ceiling gas fired Powrmatic warm air heaters, gas pipework infrastructure and associated flues and controls. The LPHW office modular boilers will be replaced with high efficiency units, a new low loss header, controls, gas infrastructure and flues operating in cascade to ensure maximum efficiency and life expectancy.

The project will be completed based on an extremely tight factory shutdown using MCL Energy’s in-house commercial installation team who will ensure the new heating system is commissioned and operational for the forthcoming heating season.

Phase 1 of the factory heating replacement has already produced gas bill savings approaching 40% along with a reduction in maintenance expenditure. The total project value will be several hundred thousand pounds with a short payback period of 2-3 years, dependent upon degree day variance. Jason Perry, General Manager of MCL Energy commented “This is a fantastic opportunity for MCL to assist Willerby Holiday Homes in their strategic cost reduction programme whilst reducing the factory’s carbon footprint and green credentials.”

This contact reinforces our long term commitment to our growing commercial HVAC customer base in Humberside, Nottinghamshire and Yorkshire.
